Ash Tons Up

Day two of senior finals and we are still no closer to results with cricket to continue through to Monday for the Firsts, Seconds and Thirds.
The First XI have managed two days of rain interrupted play. Batting first they are currently on 8/172 from 67 overs. The clear highlight so far has been the century to Ash Shaw currently on 107 not out. Opening the batting for the first time this season Ash has thus far batted brilliantly and scored runs all over the ground. He has carried his bat thus far through the innings and bought up his century with a big six in the third last over of the day. A magnificent innings so far.
The ones will be looking for quick runs in what we hope will be a full days play tomorrow. They need to win to advance through and will be chirping at the bit to get on and get playing. Expect a quick spell from Ash who will be pumped following his ton.
Day 2 of the Second XI match was washed out due to the inclement Melbourne weather. The Twos have the task ahead of them with Mulgrave currently 3/90 in their first innings from 40 overs. With 80 overs of play available tomorrow the twos will be out for quick runs and quick wickets in their match tomorrow.
The Third XI have also had a rain interrupted day bit resume tomorrow in a strong position. They are currently 3/145 in their first innings from 39 overs. They still have 41 overs to bat and can go through on the back of a draw. They will look to win the game however and advance through to the final. Ash Murnane has top scored thus far with 57 whilst James Dobeli (41 n.o.) and Dimitri Hensman (39 not out) are currently at the crease.
Full results to follow in coming days
